Tecumseh played a role in much of early US history. He formed a confederacy of Native American tribes in the early 1800s, fought future president William Henry Harrison in the Battle of Tippecanoe, and then sided with the British in the War of 1812. The life of this great Shawnee orator and leader teaches readers about standing up for one's beliefs as well as the Native American experience during the early 1800s. The main content includes biography and many important events of the era, both of which are also included in an end-of-book timeline.
